The Black Hawk SWCD received a Farmer to Farmer grant titled Enhancing Conservation Technical Assisstance Delivery. The goal of this project is to engage urban and small-scale growers in the Middle Cedar watershed through listening sessions to identify needs and inform future sustainable agriculture strategies.

Growing Resilience in the Middle Cedar Watershed
The Middle Cedar WMA received an EPA Farmer to Farmer grant focused on research and demonstration of innovative, replicable practices with measurable outcomes. This grant will allow the watershed to hire a watershed coordinator to facilitate how natural infrastructure practices can improve water quality, reduce flooding, improve habitat and strengthen farm resilience.
