In 2025, the Middle Cedar WMA was awarded an EPA Farmer to Farmer Grant, funded by the Bi-partisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) with the goal hiring a watershed coordinator to work directly with farmers to identify and implement natural infrastructure projects. These projects will achieve multiple objectives of improving water quality; reducing agricultural nonpoint source pollution, enhancing habitat, and improving the resilience of farming operations. We are so happy to announce that the Growing Resilience project has allowed the Middle Cedar WMA to hire Erin Erickson as our watershed coordinator to help with the success of these objectives.
